New "Pabron Troche AZ" for Pain, Swelling of the Throat, and Hoarseness Launched

Taisho Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. (President: Akira Uehara) launched sales on August 29 of "Pabron Troche AZ", which alleviates unpleasant cold symptoms including pain and swelling of the throat.

Research has shown that people want immediate relief from the pain and swelling in the throat that accompanies the onset of a cold.
"Pabron Troche AZ" contains anti-inflammatory agents such as azulene sodium sulfonate and dipotassium glycyrrhizinate, as well as cetylpyridinium chloride, a bactericidal agent. These anti-inflammatory agents soothe throat inflammation, thus ameliorating unpleasant symptoms.

"Pabron Troche AZ" is donut-shaped and pale bluish-purple in appearance. It is suitable for those aged 5 years and older.

[What is azulene sodium sulfonate?]
Azulene sodium sulfonate is extracted from a member of the composite family called chamomile, which is conventionally used as folk medicine in Europe and elsewhere; it is a purple-colored active ingredient obtained by making azulene water-solube. The ingredient has excellent anti-inflammatory properties and is used to treat various diseases, including gastric ulcer and conjunctivitis.
