| Taisho Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. (President: Akira Uehara) will begin distribution on September 1 of "Pabron Rhinitis Tablets S", a decongestant effective on nasal discharge and congestion and other tough symptoms of rhinitis. Compound of pseudoephedrin hydrochloride which is included for the first time in the Pabron series of rhinitis medications was listed as a recognized standard for use as an oral treatment for rhinitis last July. This compound has been highly effective in America and Europe as an oral medication. The four active ingredients in "Pabron Rhinitis Tablets S" have demonstrated superior effectiveness against nasal discharge, congestion, and sneezing. Vasoconstrictor pseudoephedrin hydrochloride suppresses congestion and swelling in nasal mucous membranes alleviating nasal congestion. Antihistamine carbinoxamine maleate and antisecretory belladonna alkaloids alleviate nasal discharge, congestion, and watery eyes. Anhydrous caffeine lessens the headache associated with these symptoms. In recent years along with changes in diets and living environment have come yearly increases in the number of people suffering from hay fever. A corresponding decrease in the age that symptoms first occur is also apparent. For children it is not rare for perennial allergies caused by house dust and mites to complicate these symptoms. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
