Taisho Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. (President: Akira Uehara) announces that it launches Lipovitan 8 II on October 1, which is a stronger version of the quasi-drug drink, Lipovitan 8, which contains Royal Jelly.
Lipovitan 8 II is a quasi-drug drink made with eight active ingredients. It is based on our popular Lipovitan 8, with the royal jelly component increased from 200mg to 300mg and taurine increased from 1,000mg to 1,500mg, the maximum dose permissible as a quasi-drug product. We have also given the product a more herbal taste and made the package design more sophisticated. Royal Jelly is rich not only in the three main nutrients protein, sugar and fat, but also in all kinds of vitamins and minerals, increasing strength and boosting energy.
Lipovitan 8 II is an energy drink geared to the work-hard, play-hard generation. It reduces tiredness and restores "get-up-and-go." We are marketing Lipovitan 8 II as an upgraded version of Lipovitan D mainly to convenience stores, supermarkets and other food channels. It is the fifth product in our quasi-drug drink of Lipovitan series.
