Product Release: Semper QT, Quick Dissolving Motion Sickness Tablets Taisho Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. (President: Akira Uehara), announces the October 30 release of Semper QT, a tablet-form motion sickness remedy that - using Zydis technology - dissolves almost instantly. Semper QT is the first motion sickness product in Japan to incorporate this technology. Thanks to the quick dissolving Zydis technology, Semper QT can be taken without water or chewing. The tablets take much less time to dissolve than previously available "chewable" medicines, providing quick and easy relief of motion sickness - even if nausea has already begun. R.P. Scherer, Inc. holds a worldwide patent on this technology, which goes under the name "Zydis" when used in the manufacturing of medical products. The technology is manufactured using a novel freeze-drying technique, such as that used for food products, and has been most successful in the production of quick-dissolving tablets. We first began experimenting with Zydis technology in 1996, and, with the introduction of Semper QT, employ the technology in an OTC product for the first time ever in Japan. Product Features
