We hold Safety Committee meetings, comprising members from the Human Resources Department, occupational physicians, health insurance associations, and labor unions. Together, management and employees collaborate to ensure the health and safety of our workforce and prevent workplace accidents. To create a safe and healthy working environment, we conduct workplace environment assessments, implement measures to reduce overtime, encourage the use of paid leave, and take proactive steps to prevent infectious diseases.

Identifying and Mitigating Workplace Hazards for Safety

In production departments where the risk of workplace hazards is particularly high, we conduct risk assessments for tasks that may lead to workplace accidents or health issues. This includes identifying and mitigating hazardous factors such as machinery, equipment, and chemicals.

To address workplace hazards and dangerous situations, managers and employees regularly inspect the workplace to identify and address potential risks. Additionally, we promote workplace inspections and 5S activities (Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) by managers and occupational physicians to improve unsafe areas and prevent workplace accidents.

To maintain a healthy working environment and prevent health issues, we conduct workplace environment measurements and use the results to improve working conditions. We ensure the use and management of appropriate protective equipment according to the work environment to safeguard workers' safety. Regular health check-ups are conducted for employees engaged in specific tasks and those handling hazardous substances to manage their health.

In the event of a workplace accident, we use the 4M (Man, Machine, Method, Management) analysis method to investigate and analyze the underlying causes and implement corrective measures.

We ensure 100% participation in regular health check-ups for our employees. For those requiring follow-up, we provide thorough support including lifestyle improvement guidance and medical consultation recommendations by occupational physicians. Additionally, we encourage participation in special health examinations (conducted at research institutes), dental check-ups, and gynecological examinations. We also actively promote health check-ups for lifestyle-related diseases among employees' families, achieving a participation rate of 65.3% for spouses and other family members in 2023.

Recently, we have introduced a health app to visualize health issues within the organization and support each employee in enhancing their health awareness and improving their lifestyle habits.

We are also committed to promoting smoking cessation. Since 2020, our company facilities have been completely smoke-free. The smoking rate decreased to 7.4% in 2024, and we continue to implement health-related measures actively and support employees in their efforts to quit smoking, aiming for a zero-smoking rate.

Additionally, we encourage high-stress individuals to consult with occupational physicians and promptly implement necessary improvements at the workplace level based on organizational analysis results to prevent mental health issues.
