Taisho Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. (President: Akira Uehara) will release SAMON Chondro-vital and SAMON S Gold on October 18. SAMON Chondro-vital alleviates joint and nerve pain, and SAMON S Gold suppresses the need to get up during the night to urinate, increased urination frequency, and leg and back pain. These are new products in the SAMON brand.

Since the release of the energy supplement, SAMON, in 1955, we have developed various SAMON brand products, which have been well received by consumers. The launch of these two new products will strengthen the SAMON brand.

According to the National Livelihood Survey, increasing numbers of middle-aged and elderly people have joint pain in their hands and legs, and particularly in their knees. Pain in the knees and other joints are caused by the wearing out of cartilage and inflammation due to aging, increased bodyweight, decreased muscular strength and/or excessive exercise.

SAMON Chondro-vital contains the standard maximum amount of sodium chondroitin sulfate, which alleviates joint and nerve pain. Sodium chondroitin sulfate is a cartilaginous component that serves as a "cushion" and alleviates joint pain, including knee pain caused by worn-out cartilage and inflammation. In addition, the product contains four other active ingredients including benfotiamine, a long-acting vitamin B1 derivative that is easily taken up in the body. Taking SAMON Chondro-vital once or twice daily will effectively alleviate joint, muscle and nerve pain.
