Energy Saving Measures
The second building aims to decrease load of air conditioning and power of lighting through the utilization of daylight in combination with window louvers (louvers outside windows), light control fluolescent with daylight diffusion film on the upper part of windows, and electric open and shut ventilators in order to secure comfort in offices with natural ventilation. It is expected to decrease load of air conditioning and power of lighting by 12% and 20% respectively per year.
In addition, air conditioning equipment employs the ice thermal storage system to realize rational air conditioning by leveling off consumption through the utilization of nighttime power.

Environmental and Recycling Measures
Employing rooftop greening, the second building aims to decrease load of air conditioning by bedding planting and wooden decks on the concrete of the rooftop. The rooftop afforestation project is a legal obligation enacted lately and expected to subdue Tokyo’s heat island phenomenon.
To secure water resources, rainwater is reused for toilet lavation and water spray for plants after being reserved, filtered, and chemically treated instead of being discharged directly for sewage.
