Taisho to Begin Marketing Iris Eyewash
Taisho Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., plans to begin marketing its new eye care product, Iris Eyewash, on January 11. A 200mL bottle of Iris Eyewash will be priced at 1,000 yen.
With no stinging ingredients, Iris Eyewash comprises membrane preserving and anti-inflammatory components that are easy on the eyes, much like natural tears. It is highly recommended for washing away pollen and dust or for washing the eyes after removing contact lenses. And, instructions are clearly indicated on both sides of the package, both to attract purchasers and to help users understand its many uses.
Taisho has been cultivating new demand for eye care products since the Company introduced its first Iris Cup eyewash in 1967. Since that time, demand for eyewash products has risen sharply in response to the increasing prevalence of hay fever, as well as to the growing number of contact lenses wearers. However, some users have reported problems, commonly resulting from the misuse of eye care products. To counter this trend, Taisho has adopted the slogan "Taking good care of your eyes."
