We have a keen understanding of consumer, self-medication needs.

Taisho has produced medicines and products trusted by consumers for over 90 years. Many of its products, such as the comprehensive cold remedy Pabron, the nutrient drink Lipovitan D, and the hair-growth product RiUP, have achieved the top share in their product markets. Taisho does not take this past performance for granted, however, but carefully assesses the changing times and market needs to constantly develop products that are routinely trusted by consumers.
Awareness of health issues has increased of late, with many changes in the market and greater competition in health-related fields. Taisho, as part of its support for more widespread recognition of self-medication in society, is promoting switch Rx-to-OTC drugs, incorporating the active ingredients in prescription drugs into over-the-counter medicines. We have also launched the Livita (derived from Life Vitality Support) brand of specialty health foods, scientifically proven to be safe and effective for promoting health. In addition, we have ventured into the health and beauty sector with the release of the skincare brand, Nourish Biboukassai. Existing products have been improved to make them easier to take, and products with greater efficacy introduced in order to further meet the expectations of consumers who trust our products, as well as strengthen and grow the brands in each field.
